The John Wood ProLine® XE PV Series is a power-vented gas tank line built for practical replacements where vent routing flexibility and reliable recovery matter.
PV40P is the propane version of the 40-gallon PV platform, typically used where propane is the available fuel and a power-vented replacement is needed. It suits smaller households or lower to moderate hot-water demand when vent routing flexibility is important.
Before we recommend it, we verify propane supply setup and confirm the vent route can be done cleanly to the correct diameter and length requirements. We also confirm the replacement can be installed with proper service clearance—no buried controls or impossible maintenance access.
