The RXM18WVJU9 is a Daikin ATMOSPHERA cold-climate single-zone wall-mount ductless heat pump paired with the matching FTXM indoor head. It’s a higher-capacity single-zone system with inverter modulation and R-32 refrigerant — designed to hold heating capacity much better than “regular” ductless systems as outdoor temperatures drop.
This 18k size is for larger single areas that genuinely need more capacity — bigger family rooms, larger basements, open-concept main floors, or zones with higher heat loss (older insulation, lots of glass, leaky areas). It can be an excellent “main comfort zone” unit when the layout supports a single-zone approach.
